QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Whether a micronutrient product has benefits after ingestion, has no effect, or, in the worst case, is even harmful, depends not only on its composition and the appropriate dosage form, but also on the quality and monitoring of raw materials used and on the manufacturing and filling methods.

Since micronutrient products do not require official approval, they are rigorously inspected before they are sold. Preventing potential contamination, labelling ingredients correctly and complying with food law regulations as a result of complete quality assurance is therefore not guaranteed for all products available on the market.

4 Phases of Quality

EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY
IN 4 STEPS

At Dental Vital, there is an uncompromising focus on product quality.
All products go through 4 phases from idea to completion:

1
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Scientifically based product development
2
RAW MATERIAL QUALITY
Controlled purchasing / storage and inspection of the processed raw materials for redundancies
3
MANUFACTURING & BOTTLING
Production and filling under certified, controlled conditions
4
FINAL INSPECTION & APPOVAL
Thorough monitoring for redundant materials and end product stability tests
  • 01 Product Development
  • 02 Raw Material Quality
  • 03 Manfacturing & Bottling
  • 04 Final Inspection & Approval

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

A) The product development team made up of nutritionists, medical practitioners, pharmacists, and biologists works closely with customers. Customer feedback is heavily incorporated into product development.

B) In addition to the broad base of studies on the effects of bioactive raw material forms, our products are also based on studies of the interactions between these substances.

C) In cooperation with renowned institutes (University Hospital Gronau, Eurofins, institutes for nutritional science), several studies (including double-blind randomised studies) are currently being planned and are already being implemented and evaluated.

RAW MATERIAL QUALITY

Principally, only bioavailable forms of raw materials are used in DENTAL VITAL products. This is the basic prerequisite for the body to be capable of synthesising them. In this way, minerals/trace elements must be organically bound and vitamins must be active in the metabolism.

Thanks to a redundancy control mechanism in purchasing, only high-quality raw materials are approved for processing. Raw materials are purchased from certified dealers upon presentation of a certificate of analysis. Before they are processed, the correctness of the information provided on the certificate is verified by an independent, certified laboratory (e.g., Pfannenschmidt). The following are tested depending on the raw material: origin, heavy metals, microbiological contamination, pesticides, melamine, toxin value, doxins, and furans.

Until the raw materials are processed, they are stored under strict temperature and humidity monitoring conditions, protected from light and kept dry.

MANUFACTURING & BOTTLING

DENTAL VITAL products are manufactured and filled under conditions certified in accordance with HACCP, GMP/ISO 22000.

To avoid contamination of any kind, after each product has gone through production and filling, all machines that come into contact with it are cleaned and disinfected. This is carried out especially after allergenic substances have been processed.

The temperature and humidity of the production rooms are continuously monitored, and all machines are regularly serviced. Since some vitamins or omega 3 fatty acids are very sensitive to pressure, heat and/or moisture, great importance is attached to gentle processes with manufacturing and filling methods.

An example of this is the dry-coat processing of NutrabeadsTM and the molecular distillation/CO2 extraction of omega 3 fatty acids.

FINAL INSPECTION & PRODUCT APPROVAL

After the product has been bottled, final inspection is carried out by a certified, independent laboratory partner. In addition to the measurements already carried out on the raw materials, further inspection is done to determine whether there has been contamination during production/bottling.

Stability tests are also carried out to guarantee and offer best-before-date information.

In addition, the final primary ingredient amounts are tested to ensure that the information stated on the labels is correct. Only then are the products approved for sale.
